A New Mexico rollover car accident recently cost one Carlsbad man his life.  The fatal accident occurred early in the morning and according to reports involved one vehicle. Immediately prior to the accident, authorities believe that the vehicle was speeding and its occupants were not wearing seatbelts.

New Mexico car accident law does not allow for the failure to wear a seatbelt to be used against a victim of a car accident if they were otherwise not liable.
